Walton replaces Southern Motorboats
The now defunct Southern Motorboats has been replaced by Walton Marine as the UK's south coast dealer for Jeanneau.
Southern Motorboats, named Jeanneau's powerboat dealer of the year in 2007, went into administration on 13 August.
Mike Field from the administrator, Portland Business & Financial Solutions, told MBM that all deals ongoing with Southern Motorboats had been fulfilled following the company's demise.
"We have concluded all the deals that were partway through. No one has paid a deposit and not had a boat," he said.
Walton Marine, which has already proved itself as a Jeanneau dealer, with bases on the Broads, Walton on Thames and Brighton, among others, will be joining forces with Sea ventures to distribute through joint sales offices in Brighton, Chichester, Portsmouth, Southampton, Hythe, Poole and Weymouth.
